Timeless City – Riverside Paradise Walk Opens in Chengdu
Timeless City – Riverside Paradise Walk has opened in Chengdu, China.
Designed by Lead8, Timeless City is located alongside the Cheng Hua Avenue and Sha He (Sand River), occupying a 740,000sqm area. The mix-use development houses a 140,000sqm retail mall, four towers hosting a hotel and residential space.
“This development has been quite a remarkable process – taking only 28 months to go from land purchase to completion,” said Simon Chua, co-founder & executive director at Lead8.
According to Lead8, the development’s design concept was inspired by the Sand River. The design extends “the curvilinear appearance of the podium to the towers”. Timeless City features transparent glass panels resembling a crystal dome.
The podium expands the river concept, resembling a boat hull.
